MICRODERMABRASION AT SPA NIAGARA

European technology applied to advanced skin care...

Environmental stresses (especially sun exposure), acne eruptions, and daily trauma combine to coarsen and age your skin.  The result is skin with fine wrinkles, heavier texture, and areas of hyperpigmentation (age spots).  Stripping away the outer cell layers reveals the younger and firmer skin underneath and stimulates new skin cell and collagen production.

In just a few years microdermabrasion has become the most requested skin-resurfacing technique and the second most popular non-operative Plastic Surgery procedure (next to Botox® Cosmetic injections for dynamic wrinkles).  It is suitable for all skin types and has the following advantages:

bullet low risk
bullet no anesthesia
bullet minimal discomfort
bullet in-office procedure
bullet rapid recuperation

How is a microdermabrasion performed?

At Spa Niagara your microdermabrasion will be performed by a licensed esthetician (skin care specialist) using state of the art equipment.  With a hand-held wand, a steady stream of aluminum oxide crystals is delivered to your skin, then the crystals and abraded material are evacuated with suction.  The effect is a layer-by-layer polishing and smoothing of the skin surface. We adhere to strict medical standards using ceramic filters, disposable hand-piece tips, and single-use crystal to reduce any possibility of cross-contamination between clients.

Typically we recommend five to ten treatments performed at weekly intervals depending on your diagnosis. Best results are obtained when combined with an individualized skin care program.
